On September 23, 2023, Inspire Property Management (“Inspire”) had the honor to be involved in motionball Marathon of Sport for Special Olympics. Inspire helped the event as a corporate sponsor and we formed a team along with volunteers from BFL Canada, Normac Insurance Appraisals, and Stutters Restoration to help fundraise and bring awareness to the Special Olympics movement, not to mention have a heck of a lot of fun during the Marathon of Sport event on September 23rd.

It was our true pleasure and privilege to be part of this event. And we were happy to see so many athletes having fun on the field with our team and so many others, like our good friends at Good Sorts Property Services (pictured above on the left with Team Inspire Bandits on the right).

Our teammates, along with most everyone who particpated in the event took the #NoGoodWay pledge to never use the R-word, and to educate others about the link between the R-word and bullying. It hurts, even if you don’t mean it “that way”. You can learn more or take the pledge at motionball.com/nogoodway.

We are proud to share that thanks to the generous donors who responded to our calls, texts, and emails that “Team Inspire Bandits” helped raised over $10,000 of the $152,000 total raised for Special Olympics Canada through this event on September 23rd.

UPDATE | 2023-09-25 | 5:00 PM: Donations continued to arrive following the conclusion of the event. Our new team total is $11,216! Thank you for your generousity!

Donations are critical to support athletes to participate in Special Olympics programs at every level, from the athletes who bring home gold medals and make Canada proud on the world stage to the thousands who look forward to weekly practice for fitness, fun, and friendship. Donations help support the parents, siblings, caregivers and friends of individuals with intellectual disabilities, who imagine a world of inclusion & endless possibilities.

Supporting motionball helps raise important funds and creates awareness for the Special Olympics movement and makes it possible for more people with intellectual disabilities to benefit from the transformative power of sport.

We would like to thank all of the volunteers who put in tireless hours to make this event happen. We would like to also thank the sponsors whose contributions paid the cost of this event so that 100% of all funds raised through donations went directly to Special Olympics Canada. And most of all, we would like to thank all of the community supporters who made donations from June when we started campaigning right up to September 23rd when the event concluded.

We will be supporting Special Olympics Canada again next year through motionball Marathon of Sport. So, we ask that you budget to make a donation next year between June and September 2024 when we reform Team Inspire for the next event.

Thanks again. We look forward to your support next year!
