Our company continues to expand our team of bookkeepers and administrative staff to support the communities we serve. We plan to hire our next team member at a time while our capacity exceeds the demand.

The primary duties of this position include entering financial data, processing receipts, reconciling bank accounts, preparing financial reports, reviewing financial reports from a checklist of potential errors, filing, and other general bookkeeping related administration.

The Bookkeeper will support our rapidly growing strata management division. The ideal candidate will be interested in working towards a career in bookkeeping, strata management, or rental property management. Preference will be given to candidates with an educational background or experience in banking, accounting or administration, including students who have been studying towards a career in one of those fields. A basic understanding of “fund accounting” is required.

Our team requires trusted, professional and courteous individuals who can provide our clients with consistently superior experience. Your ability to think outside of the box, and to genuinely connect with clients, will set you apart. You will also need to be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook, along with well-developed written and oral communication skills. Experience with Yardi Genesis2 or Yardi Breeze is an asset (but not a requirement).

Where we work is less important to us than how well we work together. The successful candidate may choose to work from home part-time after they have completed their training. However, certain tasks require periodic in-person attendance at the office.

The planned position does not include managing the corporate social media accounts. But, familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn is an asset and may open the door to additional responsibilities (and hours).

The planned position does not include assisting property managers. But, a candidate with strong oral and written communication skills may open the door to assist property managers with such general administrative tasks, such as mailing, filing, letter writing (and additional hours).
