Part-Time Position (15+ hours / week).

We are seeking an individual who can cover the bookkeeping position held by an exceptional employee who will begin maternity leave in April.

Following the return of the employee on leave, the successful candidate may be offered a long-term position to help keep up with the increased work we expect as our company continues to grow at its current rapid pace.

To allow for training before the current employee begins her maternity leave, the successful candidate will be asked to start as soon as practicable. A candidate who can start immediately – even if on limited hours – is preferred. However, we will be flexible for a candidate that cannot start immediately if they must give notice to their current employer.

The primary duties of this position include entering invoices and preparing cheques for signature, data entry, reviewing financial reports from a checklist of potential errors, filing, and other general bookkeeping related administration.

The Bookkeeping Assistant will support our rapidly growing strata management division. The ideal candidate will be interested in working towards a career in bookkeeping or strata management. Preference will be given to candidates with an educational background or experience in accounting or administration, including students who have been studying towards a career in one of those fields.

Our team requires a trusted, professional and courteous individual who can provide our clients with a consistently superior experience. Your ability to think outside of the box, and to genuinely connect with clients, will set you apart. You will also need to be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook, along with well-developed written and oral communication skills. Experience with Yardi Genesis2 is an asset (but not a requirement).

The current position does not include managing the corporate social media accounts. But, familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn is an asset and may open the door to additional responsibilities (and hours) for a candidate seeking a long term position after our employee returns from leave.
